In Partnership with Mt. Spokane, we’ve created an Inland Northwest Athlete Mid-Week Season Pass to pair with this training opportunity. To access, exclusively available to athletes enrolled in this pace group - call Guest Services at Mt. Spokane to purchase ($379 + tax).

With the below-described Guest-Athlete membership, athletes are welcome to join in for Wednesday + Thursday night slalom training, and Friday AM GS / SG sessions.

Where: Mt. Spokane Lodge 2- meet up on snow at Mt. Spokane main base on snow outside lodge 2 a the MSSRT feather flag + orange stake with laminated mounted QR code for night ski group info

Where to boot-up, put bags, meet other families? Lodge 2 upstairs - 3rd floor balcony.
When: 4:45 PM begin to gather, 5:00 PM on-snow session begins, 6:05 - 6:20 PM Dinner Break, 7:40 PM Pull Venue, 8:00 PM End Session. Wednesday + Thursday Night Ski Training.

Night ski child-athletes must be able to load the chairlift independently with poles + ski
parallel on intermediate terrain.

Late to arrive? If arriving after 5:00 PM start, scan the mounted QR code - send message of arrival, then send U12+ athletes to top of training venue to check in on the start radio and wait for coach instruction.
If arriving after 5:00 PM start with U10 child-athlete, scan QR code -
message of arrival, wait at flag with child ready to ski, for contact from Coach Cat.
Equipment recommendations:
U10: frontside carving ski + pocket snacks + low light goggle lens
U12: Slalom skis/frontside carving skis + training equipment (if equipped with pole guards/chin
bar/shin guards can wear but not required 12/18 session) + pocket snacks + low light lens
U14: Slalom gate + directed freeski SL training equipment + pocket snacks + low light lens
U16+ : SL gate training night ski equipment + growth mindset
Coach Van Transport: At this time, we are gauging interest in van transport reservations for
travel to-from night ski training with Coach Mark Burandt in the MSSRT team van. Anticipating a
tentative start date of 01/08, with reservation in advance. If interested - please email Coach Cat and complete google survey to record your interest. -please note this
does not reserve a spot, it is a preliminary expression of interest.

Inland Northwest Mid-Week Open Training (U8 – U19)

An opportunity to mix with a keen pace group of athletes from throughout the Inland Northwest for Wednesday + Thursday night slalom training, and Friday morning GS training.

To participate in the mid-week programs, the athlete must be a member in good standing with one of the teams listed below:

Bluewood Alpine Race Team                    (BART)

49 Degrees North Alpine Ski Team          (FAST)

Independence Race Team                         (Indy)

Lookout Pass Race Team                          (LPRT)

Schweitzer Alpine racing School              (SARS)

Silver Mountain Alpine Race Team          (SMART)

Night-Ski Training Environment

Lane 1: YSL/U14 Paneled Slalom + SL progression sectionals with brush and stubby sets.

Lane 2: U16/U19+ Slalom Course

 Ability Requirements

Mt. Spokane Ski Race Team is a race program that invites and welcomes guest athletes. This offering is for athletes from across the Inland Northwest seeking additional training in a dynamic peer group. The athlete must be able to manage all of their equipment independently. This includes putting their skis on and off, putting their boots on and off, loading and unloading the lift independently, skiing with poles. Athletes must be able to ski parallel on intermediate terrain.
